Attended a dog show locally
Staff very friendly and welcoming. Restaurant stylish and food freshly prepared, large portions and good quality.
It was clean and the carpets were in very good condition in the room. Mugs for tea and coffee were great and the biscuits a nice touch. The decoration in the Bistro was really appealing.
The shower was very difficult to control and made showering something of a chore. The food was a great disappointment. The evening menu in the Bistro did not match the decor and breakfast in the morning was very average.
Helpful Reception - Checkin/Queries etc
I didn't enjoy the evening meal, however breakfast was excellent
Lovely staff, real homely atmosphere, great food, one of the best
The friendly staff, nothing was too much for them to make the stay very pleasant
location to m6 was fantastic
The second i arrived I should have known it was not going to be good because the banging party in the front bar shook the radiator in my room, not good when i had to be up at 6am; i didn't need breakfast with such an early start but no discount offered on room rate; couldn't shower for fear of coming out of bathroom dirtier than i went in; single room no.11 above kitchen was noisy & boiling hot; consolation was that i took my own towel & didn't have to stay long, good job they finally agreed to move me to a quieter twin room in an almost empty hotel furthest from the party or i'd have happily slept in my car. Staff looked tired but smiley. Its not a stopover for me in the future.
friendly staff good location for our needs
poor standard, shabby, dated, some areas filthy, bars poorly stocked and excessively priced for the venue, heating stuck on when it was very warm outside made it uncomfortable.
It was convenient for visiting a family party and easy to come and go as needed
The hotel was well signposted and the reception was good. Some of the features were of a lower standard than one would expect from a two star hotel but were acceptable for an over night stay.
I was there for a short break. The hotel whilst functional was clean and the price very reasonable. The staff are very friendly
Local to our venue
The bed you could feel all the springs was uncomfy
The staff were very friendly and my en-suite room was huge! I liked the space I had in the room.
Pictures not portraying same image in real life Food was basic
Friendly and kindly staff. Particularly careful for dietry needs.
Comfortable enough but fraying at the edges
